La Storia
La D.K.R. Scooters è stata fondata nel 1957 a Wolverhampton in Inghilterra.
Il nome dell’azienda era composto dalle iniziali dei tre fondatori: Barry Day, Noah Robinson (Direttore della Willenhall Motor Radiator Company) e dal pilota Cyril Kieft
ed il primo scooter, il Dove fu presentato nel luglio dello stesso anno. Era motorizzato con un motore Villiers a 2T raffreddato ad aria con cambio a tre marce.
Nel 1958 furono introdotti il Pegasus, il Defiant ed il Manx
Il Manx 250 rappresentava il top della gamma della DKR con il suo propulsore Villiers 2T da 249cc bicilindrico ed una velocità di 70 mph
La forma particolare degli scooter DKR era determinata dal posizionamento del serbatoio sopra la ruota anteriore.
La produzione cessò nel 1966.

Si tratta di uno scooter di provenienza tedesca, completamente restaurato circa 20 anni fa.
E’ bellissimo e funzionante.
E’ completo di tutti i particolari originali.
Ha bisogno di una messa a punto in quanto fermo da tempo.
E’ dotato dei documenti tedeschi e della certificazione TUV tradotta in italiano ai fini della reimmatricolazione in Italia.
In una manovra, effettuata per spostarlo, è stata leggermente graffiato il lato destro anteriore della carrozzeria.
