La Storia
Le spider inglesi degli anni ’60 puntavano sulle piccole dimensioni, sulla leggerezza e sul divertimento alla guida, più che sulla potenza.
La Triumph era una delle migliori interpreti di questa filosofia dell’auto sportiva.
Con la TR5 e successivamente con la TR6 la Triumph decide di offrire ai suoi clienti qualche CV in più, installando un motore a 6 cilindri da 2.498cc, dotato di iniezione meccanica della Lucas, con 150CV.
La linea della TR6 è stata disegnata da Karmann, che ha rivisitato la linea della precedente TR5, disegnata da Giovanni Michelotti.
Complessivamente le versioni prodotte sono 4, CP e CR per il mercato europeo, CC e CF per il mercato americano.
Le TR6 per il mercato americano, a causa della difficoltà di rispettare la normativa antinquinamento con l’impianto di iniezione meccanica, vengono dotate di carburatori più facili da mettere a punto.
Le TR6 per il mercato americano montano specifiche componenti sia a livello estetico, sia a livello meccanico.
La TR 6 è un’auto iconica, utilizzabile anche nel traffico odierno e ben gestibile a livello di manutenzione, anche in funzione della buona disponibilità di ricambi.
La nostra TR 6
Si tratta di un’auto immatricolata per la prima volta negli Stati Uniti nel 1974 e successivamente immatricolata in Italia nel 2016.
Si tratta della versione a carburatori per il mercato americano.
In occasione della immatricolazione in Italia il telaio è stato ripunzonato sullo sgocciolatoio del cofano posteriore destro con il numero AR10145616AR.
E’ in ottimo stato di conservazione; un po’ da rivedere a livello di carrozzeria.
E’ funzionante ed è stata revisionata il 7.9.2021.
E’ dotata di CRS ASI n.239160del 22/4/2016.
